RIP...for now.

Okay, so I have sad news.

I was walking, minding my own business, carrying my laptop in both of my hands when...

all of a sudden...

I walked into a doorframe...

and dropped my laptop.

The screen exploded in pink and black, resembling the parting of the Red Sea.

A funeral followed several minutes later. It was a sad time.

But, since then we have discovered that my computer is fixable! So, until I have a new screen shipped in, my blog will be rather... empty. And picture-less. Sad.

In other news though, the birthday cake was AMAZING! I have a great picture but, no way to upload it. The peanut butter bars were also tasty. Every time I make them, I learn how to improve the recipe. It's great fun.

And no, I still haven't worn that fabulous apron. But seriously, when I break that baby out, the cooking world will be put to shame ;)

Who says you can't blog twice in one day??

Okay... I'm back.

So, I've decided that, since I'm separated from the world for another 9 months yet (my internship is 16 months long) I am going to improve on my "women" skills like cooking and knitting.

No I am not sexist. Women can be CEOs and whatnot while men cook and clean. "Women Skills" is the name I'm using, because I like it :)

Anywho, a wonderful start to the day already... microwaved eggs.

My future husband is going to love me.

Mmmm... look at the finely blended eggs mixed with the taste of exotic Gouda... the foreign salt and freshly ground pepper entices this meal to its ultimate perfection.

Savour the taste.

Savour the skill.

Sigh. Believe it or not, I actually used to cook.

Well, that's a lie... I actually used to bake. Bread, cookies...yup that's about it.

And look how far I've come.

Well, with the purchase of my new apron (it's unbelievably wonderful) I am convinced that I am the next Rachel Ray. I mean...what else do you need, right? :)

I made my famous (ahem from a recipe online) chocolate peanut butter bars and helped to bake a rich chocolate cake yesterday. I'll let you know how that last one turns out tomorrow because I suppose you can't take a piece out of someone else's birthday cake early...

Let me know if you have any great recipes that I should try! I seriously wish I had a legit cookbook here. I know there are plenty of recipes online, but nothing beats flipping through a good old Cooking Light cookbook :' )

Ahh. Beginnings. How awkward.

Hello Blogging World! This is, obviously, my first post on this blog so why not jump into it with a completely irrelevant comment?

I love chocolate peanut butter bars.

Now that you know me to the depths of my soul...let's talk about this blog.

What is there to talk about? I suppose I've wanted to make a blog for a while where I can just say whatever I want. It doesn't have a theme; it doesn't have a purpose...it just lets this craving to...well...write, escape! Who knows if anyone will read it, but hey, if you are, welcome! I'm a college student living half-way across the world for part of my studies and, while I'm away from most Western civilization, I might as well reach out to the world as a whole and become a little more connected while I'm at it.

Don't you love ramblings that don't really say anything?

Well anyways... I suppose I should do something with my day instead of just sending random thoughts out into oblivion.

oh. the title. Why Bohemian Chanel?

I suppose it describes me. This has nothing to do with fashion...well, not really and I didn't know that there was makeup called Bohemian Chanel, but let's just pretend it was all my idea. I picked Chanel because I am partly composed, organized, classy and (sometimes) dressed to the nines WHILE the Bohemian aspect describes the artsy, unorganized, random, confusing side of my life. Not gonna lie, I often lean towards the Bohemian side ;)

Well I suppose I'll talk to you (whoever you are) later and I'll include something deep or whatever haha. Most likely it will turn into a story of something that went horribly wrong and ended up with me needing to renovate the entire kitchen or something equally horrifying.

Alrighty. see you all...later.
